Corey Koepper
Writer / Director / Producer
Corey Koepper is a Brooklyn-based writer/director. He challenges genre conventions with surreal, character-focused films from a queer perspective. Having received acclaim in Queerty and Film Threat for his prior short film (“On The Floor”), Corey is thrilled to unveil his new proof-of-concept horror film, “No Glow,” shot in the New York tri-state area and now on a festival tour in 2025-26. As a creative writer/producer for ABC News promos, he has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy and won two PromaxBDA awards for his work promoting The View. A Virginia native and graduate of Virginia Tech’s film program, he loves rescuing dogs and beating the hell out of his drum kit!
Corey and actor/producer Sasha Gheesling co-founded Para Noir Pictures in 2017. Their short “On The Floor” (2020), directed by Corey and co-written by Corey and Sasha, received the Best LGBTQ+ Film award from the Independent Shorts Awards and New York International Film Awards, Best Live-Action Short from FlickFair, and Best Experimental Film from the Lonely Wolf London International Film Festival. The film was featured in Queerty’s “What to Watch” column and received praise in a review from Film Threat.

Sasha Gheesling
Actor / Writer / Producer
Sasha Gheesling is an actor and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Their notable television credits include roles on Law & Order: SVU, Dear Edward, and The Crowded Room. They also appeared in a music video with Will Ferrell for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. They were the lead in the Para Noir Pictures short film “On The Floor,” co-written by Sasha with Corey Koepper, that won Best Actor and Best Original Score at the Prague International Film Festival (Sasha contributed five original songs to the score). They also starred in the short “For The Birds” which premiered at Big Apple Film Festival, and will star in the upcoming feature film Golem AI, directed by Rebecca Wahls. Other notable film credits include a supporting role in the feature film Three Birthdays, directed by Jane Weinstock and starring Josh Radnor.
Sasha is a proud member of the NYC Trans Film Collective and a founding member of the Experimental Acting Collective. They are also a sporty girl and a diehard fan of Liverpool FC, the NY Liberty, and a baller with the world famous NYC Basketdolls.
Their musical drag alter ego, Andro Astro, has released ten original songs with close to a million streams, spanning hip-hop, glam pop, and punk.
